can we use
"conditional formatting"
Set criteria = 0
then define your display color

the solution you suggest would color all zeros,i mean consecutive zero by rows

Please try this conditional formatting procedure,
- Select A2:J8
- Use this formula in 'Format values where this formula is true' as picture below
=IF(COLUMNS($A2:A2)=1,A2=0,OR(A2&OFFSET(A2,0,-1)="00",A2&B2="00"))
